Remember: If you get too small a Heater and it runs on 'High' most of the time in cold weather...you will get metal fatigue and shorten the life of the Heater by 1/2! If you are within 200sq./ft. of your heater's maximum capabilities...Then go up to the next size and it will run on medium or low thus doubling the life of the Heater.

Double-Walled Venting kit; a great template and TERRIFIC directions. Simply
drill a 3" hole through the wall; Insert Rinnai's special direct vent Double-Walled
tube, adjust it to the wall thickness & mount the outside wall cap plate
to the tube. Then connect the Rinnai Direct-Vent Free-Standing High Efficiency
Heater and be prepared to be Toasty-warm ALL
winter and for Years to come!!!
Here
is the inside view of the Rinnai (or Toyo / Monitor ) Vent-pipe showing the
3 side Ports and Center Out-let. The Vent Ports (the whole Vent) rotates 360
degrees so that the Intake and Exhaust can be connected to the Heater in any
direction. In this photo the Top and Left-sides are the In-take Ports and
the Right and Center are the Exhaust Ports. This Rotational ability gives
plenty of versatility to install the Heater in any area, angle or direction
for the most effective Rinnai Convection Heating
Comfort. Once the Heater is installed and the side and top shrouds
are in place, there is no plumbing showing behind the heater.

Internet Dealers' strongly recommend that you have your Rinnai
Heater 'Professionally Installed'
- ARE THEY NUTS ??? The way most Installers rape the homeowner it usually costs you between $400-2000 to have the Plumber or Gas Company do this simple job that you can do (it's always nice to have a friend to help) of cutting a 3" hole in the wall; inserting the vent; running the 1/2" soft-copper tubing (depending on Codes) to the heater from the tank and that is all there is to it. Then the Gas Company will send a man to hook up each end and pressure test the system for usually $75-100...NOT $400-2000! These greedy Installers want to make this seem like some kind of magic when in reality it is just hokey-pokey on their part to lift your wallet right out of your pants - Don't let them do it !

Very Important Notice: Please do NOT call if you are looking for an UN-VENTED gas heater as that is NO different than putting all your family into your garage, shutting all the doors, starting up your car and then laying them down for a very long and permanent sleep - Good Luck! More and more States are making Un-vented Heaters ILLEGAL as they are in fact dangerous to the Health of you, your family, your pets, etc. ALL un-vented heaters emit toxic fumes, vapors, bad odors, stain the walls, ceilings and drapes. The excess moisture emitted into the house with an un-vented heater can cause severe and DANGEROUS mold and mildew problems. If you want to buy a cheap UN-vented heater, you should first put your hand in your pants to see how small your brain is!!! PS: I have been getting more and more calls from people who unsuspectingly were sold Un-vented heaters by idiot money-grubbing 'Big-box-bandits store retailers'. WARNING:
The Rinnai Heater Warranty is only Transferrable if the Heater remains in the ORIGINAL place of Installation (you buy a house where the Heater was originally installed and has NOT been moved). In other words - you cannot take it out of one house, sell it, and have it installed somewhere else and still have a warranty. If you buy a used one somewhere...do NOT expect any Warranty from Rinnai.
