Re-packing your Heater for Safe Shipment

All of the Heater Manufacturers do a TERRIBLE job of packing their Heaters for shipping (that's called Cheep-Cheep-Cheep packaging). The Factories use low-grade flimsy cardboard and only two small pieces of USELESS Styrofoam to 'suspend' the Heaters in mid-air with absolutely NO other protection throughout the entire carton or shipping trip to take all the abuse that 'BOZO ' the Truck-driver can give out; and that is why SO MANY Heaters from other Heating Companies arrive broken, dented and destroyed regardless of how they ship (UPS, FedEx, truck, freight, package delivery or what company they use) - Bozo works for all of them!

I speak to MANY Shipping Clerks and Large and Small Companies around the Country and Shipping Damage by ALL Trucking and Parcel companies is EPIDEMIC.

Hector's Hardware says: "UPS Conveyers destroy and damage these Factory-boxed Heaters as they are not boxed for UPS handling - Read that again: Heaters are NOT boxed by the Factories for Safe Shipping" - ONLY for retail sales.

Since MOST other Dealers do NOT Re-pack the Heaters for Safe-shipping...their only answer is to ship them by VERY EXPENSIVE Residential Motor Truck which you pay dearly for: Their shipping for a Rinnai 556 was $229.95 while Al's Heating shipping was only $75.00 (and to put more salt in your wounds...Hector's Hardware's shipping for the Rinnai 263 was STILL $169.95 while Al's Heating is just $60.00!) - and still No Re-packing. So not only are many other Dealers charging more for Your Heater...you will pay up to almost triple for their shipping - Isn't that a lot of fun having it put to you in both directions!!!

Another sales company (READ that as sales...NOT an actual Heating Company, not with Heating Engineers - Just another "Box Bandit ") says they will NOT be responsible for damage done by UPS Shipping (or any other Package Carrier) - Nice guys when your Heater arrives in pieces regardless of price and you have absolutely no recourse!

One Sales Company says they do use 'some bubble-wrap'. But we all know that there no way to completely fill EVERY nook and cranny of the Carton EXCEPT by diligently stuffing the ENTIRE box with Billions-of-Peanuts handful by handful until the Carton is busting at the seams. Then there is the 8-way Filament tape; Double staples; 800/LB-test Poly-strapping in 2-5 places; and our new Plywood Re-inforcement for ultimate protection! By the time we are done...Al's Heating Packing is one Tight-and-Safe Monolithic box!

NOW THAT IS SAFE and only from Al's Heating !

If you are talking to a Toyo, Monitor or Rinnai sales firm and they tell you that they have NO heater damage in Truck-shipping ...They are lying through their teeth just to get a sale and your money - "Box Bandits " . And once Your heater arrives damaged because they do NOT re-pack the heater as Al's Heating does...It takes weeks if not months to resolve the Claims matter - IF you do ever get a $settlement at all (and as one company says: 'There will be no claim allowed if shipped by UPS' - and most likely by another Package Company).

And to make matters worse...Tariff Laws (Created by Crooked Shipping Co. hobbyists) allow for the Denial of Damage-claims for unprotected items in Factory Air-suspended cardboard boxes.

Plain and simple...this means that if your Heater is NOT Re-packed with Full-surround protection of 1-Billion Peanuts; Complete 8-sided taping; Re-stapling and 800/LB-test Re-strapping and Our NEW Plywood Re-inforcement...and there is Heater damage, you will end up with an anchor and no rope and no where to go and wait up until 3 months for your claim to be settled no matter what anyone says (that means lies)!

Protecting your Heater from Damage is why ONLY Al's Heating goes to Special lengths in Re-Packing your Heater for Complete Safety!

Here's what Al's Heating does:

At Al's Heating, we open Each-and-Every carton bottom and top and pack it full of big-fat peanuts in every nook and cranny that exists.

Now for the REAL Magic:

Al's Heating is the ONLY company in the Country that NOW Re-inforces Your Heater Carton with

Heavy-Duty Plywood (pic coming)

to completely protect your Wonderful Heater in Shipping from my shop to your Home against Bozo; other heavy boxes falling on your heater in the truck - or one of many catastrophes that could happen. And with our Plywood Re-inforcement we have NOT even had a dent using our SUPERIOR PACKING METHOD and DHL Delivery!!!

And for you Nay-sayers...it now takes 1-3 months to settle a damage claim (think of that in January) - Not the 2 weeks the claims adjuster promises and here's why:

EVERY large company in the world takes ALL their cash Each Night (called the 'float') and lends it out to the highest bidders all over the world and reaps Billions in interest night, after night, after night using YOUR insurance money - they make more profit on the Lending than the Shipping - so the damage is to their REAL advantage and profits.

Here's the question you need to ask: Does ANYONE else in the entire Country go to these lengths to make sure your Pride-and-Joy Heater arrives safely? I already know the answer as these Sales Companies are Box-bandits whose ONLY goal is to get your money, get the box out and never to be heard from again. I've heard the stories for years from customers who have been bung-holed by destroyed heaters and it can take 3-MONTHS - read that again: 3-MONTHS to get the claim settled so that you have a working heater by Spring.

Our Country-wide repeat business is becoming Legendary because we make sure you get the Correct Heater for Your needs (that's called Heating Engineering - not some guy sitting in a cubicle who has NOT ever seen seen nor installed Thousands of these Wonderful Vented Heaters), and then make sure you get The Heater Safely to your Home and in one piece - barring 'Bozo ' having a worse than normal day.

PS: Watch out for Shipping Gouging

I just spoke to a man who paid $85.00 (we charge $45-60) for for a heater to be shipped by TRUCK to him. This was the NOT a huge 110/LB heater...but ONLY a little 40/LB Rinnai 263 heater. NOW...Shipping by costs up to $199.00 for a heater we ship all repacked for $75.00Truck. This dealer says that shipping by truck is 'safer ' but don't you believe it because they DO NOT Re-pack and double pack the Heater for maximum SAFETY -

ONLY Al's Heating does that!

With our Re-packing, Double-packing, and Plywood Re-inforcement (Remember - NO other company does that), double stapling, 8-way taping and 800/LB Re-strapping...Al's Heating packaging is the BEST in the business and far better than the Factory where there is nothing but air between the thin-cheap cardboard, your Wonderful and Delicate Heater, and 'BOZO the Trucker' who is probably having a bad day anyway. And you should see just what a fork-lift and 17 transfers can do to a carton of air with NO protection.

So while 'Price' may be a consideration NOW - Consider your Heater's 20/yr. life span and don't get too impatient to order a heater 'quickly' that all too many times will arrive broken from box bandits that DO NOT re-pack these GREAT Heaters!

Just another reason to buy from Al's Heating.

Now! included Free:

400° Silicone Lubricant for the Exhaust O-rings so that they go together more easily now, preserve the O-ring Rubber over the years, and in the future come apart better.

AGAIN...ONLY Al's Heating does all this for you.

I am NOT suffering from Insanity - I enjoy every minute of it!
