Every Heater has a Control Panel which wears out eventually and Monitor is no exception. What is an exception though is that when the Monitor Push-button Control Panel on a Monitor 422/441 fails, you had better get ready to ransom your Grandchildren.

On The Monitor 21/40/22/41...

and when the teeny-tiny Micro-switch under the Push-button fails (you can not set the temp, up, down, reset or anything according to whichever one failed), you simply replace that single Push-button panel at about $175 with labor (which at that price is still a Rip-off!!!). Although the 21/40/22/41 Push-button Panel Assembly is somewhat 'factory sealed' (looks like a pre-meditated plan to me) ...with some talent and my $10.00 button, you can replace the worn-out Push-button yourself instead of Monitor's $175.00 w/labor by an 'Authorized Idiot'. Or you can simply order the Push-button Panel itself from me for $85.00 and easily replace the Assembly yourself.

Now with the 422/441's, you are into about $275 (w/labor) instead of $175...and what is CRIMINAL is that the Micro-switch that fails is only about $10.00 - and fully repairable by you or anyone that can wield a 40-watt soldering iron.

Monitor made the Push-button Panel on the 21/22/40/41's Separate from the Light-Panel. Now on the 422/441's, the Push-button and Light Panels are wired-together so that you MUST buy both Panels together as ONE unit when ONLY one Button on the Panel actually fails - and only for the modest fee of $275 w/labor you get a $10.00 Button - Did you get the Big Tube of Vaseline with that one???
