Al's Heating started selling and installing Monitor Heaters in 1989 and We quickly rose to be one of the Top Dealers in the Northeast. We LOVED these little Miracles of Modern Heating. They were easy to install; heated a normal house for 1/4 that of electric; with just a regular cleaning every two years the Heaters lasted for years and years. We were happy, the customers were happy - EVERYONE was happy - The People on the Planet Pluto were happy! We even won SEVERAL Dealer Awards from Nelson & Small the Northeast Distributor for MPI, Inc.

Then with the advent of the 422's and 441's we had trouble right out of the box: We had bad bearings (Monitor went from good Japanese bearings to what we can only describe as totally garbage Taiwan and Thailand bearings - remember the Bean-Counters...). Things were so bad that we actually rebuilt EVERY Brand-New 441 right out of the box putting in TOP-OF- THE-LINE SKF BEARINGS so that Our customers would not have squealing bearings either on the day of installation or soon down the road. Not only that...Al's Heating Bench Pre-tested EVERY Monitor BEFORE we installed it (and would do the same for a Cash-and-Carry for $50.00 if the Customer so desired). We were the ONLY Monitor Dealer in the entire Country doing this Pre-testing to protect our Customers. Our Monitor Distributor (Nelson & Small) denied to us the bearing problem while later-on having Replacement-Bearing-Sets available to the Dealers - Typical Corporation Double-speak (remember Enron, MCI-WorldCom).

As time went on, we had more and more 'early failures' (my own personal Shop 422 burned-up & failed in the first year)! These problems of course led to a HUGE amount of Out-of Warranty Re-builds. We made tons of money, but the failure rate we saw in our shop on the 422's and 441's was in our minds criminal.

We saw so many burned-up flame-rings, burned-out pots, stuck and broken solenoid-damper assemblies, curled-up burner mats, loose burner screws, loose gaskets, bad bearings, bad and broken 'O-Rings' and other problems that Repairing became a better business than selling - and still is !!!

And now comes the 2400 - Our Tear-Down Report will open your eyes to the latest 'fiascoes'.

Under NO conditions will Al's Heating recommend Monitor 422's, 441's or 2400's because we would NOT buy these products for ourselves or to use for ourselves - ONLY TOYO!!!

We ONLY SUGGEST ONLY THE TOYO / TOYOTOMI line of Heaters if you are looking for a Kerosene Heater - WE will under NO circumstances sell you a Monitor Heater as we don't need the grief (however...We Re-build hundreds of them, and when We are done...even the Factory can't do what We do to make them puuuuuuuuuur)!!! We believe the Toyo Heaters to be 10 times better than Monitors, easier to service, and less expensive to repair.

I sell what I want and do what I want ( am NOT a pawn like most Dealers and Others who get on their knees just to keep a job) - and I ONLY sell what is Right and Just for the customer, and offer Helps (my coming 8/04 repair video) that NO OTHER Importer, Distributor or Company in the Country does.
